Social media marketing – how you can help

Social media points

Just some of the social media landscape

At this stage of our campaign, we are not even asking for donations. We are building our base of volunteers and sponsors. This team of loyalists will then give us a strong foundation to later promote the cause.

Social media gives us a significant advantage. By spreading our cause far and wide across the social media landscape, we can crowd out all the other noise from charities soliciting money with a simple message: hop on-board and help us do the hard yard in a perilous Death Valley.

The only way to dominate the social media arena is to be in the first 5 results on google. To achieve this, we need traffic, comments, votes and activity to all of our social media properties. Every vote and comment on our youtube video, for example, gives that video better ranking in google. The same for all the other social media stuff.

Please help, and it will not cost you a dime. Take a few minutes over your next coffee to:

  1. rate and comment on our video – http://www.youtube.com/cancercharities
  2. “give some love” to our listing - http://www.madefromnewzealand.com/businesses/death-valley-child-cancer-challenge
  3. “like” and comment on our video – http://vimeo.com/cancercharities
  4. follow us – http://twitter.com/cancercharities
  5. become a member – http://www.bebo.com/childcancerchallenge
  6. fan our page – http://www.facebook.com/Death.Valley.Child.Cancer.Challenge
  7. blog about us ( http://www.childrens-cancer-charities.com/2009/08/linking-to-our-website )
  8. comment on this blog article + other articles on our website

Thank you in advance for your help. Every little bit you do adds up to a whole lot in the end!

    Wicked work team!
Love the difference Dunedinites’ & New Zealanders’ can make for their own communities!!

That is true, Chris, and it really takes little effort from each person to make a huge difference. It’s just a matter of making a conscious choice to help the less fortunate. In your case, for example, it only took a few minutes out of your day to help us promote the cause by commenting and voting for our stuff. For that we are grateful!
