With daytime temperatures soaring above 50degC and shady trees a rarity, Death Valley is not the most hospitable of places to take a bicycle ride. Nevertheless, Neill Glover plans to take a 600km fundraising ride through Death Valley National Park, from Yosemite to Las Vegas, in the United States.

    Unfortunate that the ODT made no mention of the “Child Cancer Challenge” nor the website address where people can go to donate. In addition, this article’s author John Lewis actually quotes Neill as saying “”I might be in my late 50s, but I’m not past it by any means.” Neill adimately denies making this statement. Thus, John Lewis actually lied by making up a fake quote. This article only served as an ODT “news filler,” was clearly unethical journalism and added no value back to the community at all. Otago Daily Times, you suck.
